by: Mike Yeager
Cancun vacations offer white sandy beaches, warm tropical sun and beautiful blue water. Some of the finest Mexico resorts can be found in Cancun. One of the great things about deciding to travel Mexico is the short time it takes to get there. Only a couple of hours flying time and you can be staying at one of many Mexico resorts offering you the chance to relax, tan and even travel Mexico.
When you decide to travel Mexico you’ll find that even though you’re in a foreign country, there are many familiar U.S. hotels and restaurants. Beautiful Mexico resorts, beautiful beaches and people are all waiting for you.
The very best in lush Mexico resorts are on the internet, so you can travel Mexico in style.
When you decide to travel Mexico here are some of the things to consider doing: snorkeling in warm, blue water in the afternoon. Renting some jet-ski’s and feeling the spray of the surf splash your face as you frolic like a kid with a new toy. Have you ever felt the thrill of being lifted into the air under a big, billowy parasail? What an experience! Imagine the breathtaking view you would have as you floated above the sun, the sand and surf with the warm tropical breeze blowing through your hair. All this and more is yours when you choose to “get away from it all” and travel Mexico
Remember, the dollar is very strong in Mexico and your travel money will go a long ways towards your vacation expenses.

Great Beaches On Grand Bahama Island In The Bahamas
by: Terry Lowery
Quite naturally, one of the primary reasons the Bahamas have attracted visitors from all over the world is the abundance of beautiful beaches. Grand Bahama Island certainly has its share of these remarkable beaches, and as a beach vacation destination, this island rates as one of the best.
Xanadu Beach is a popular tourist destination located in Freeport. There are a variety of activities available, including water sports such as parasailing and beach sports such as volleyball. Because of the pleasant atmosphere, the beach also attracts a local crowd, in addition to tourists. This beach is not uncomfortably crowded, and although it attracts enough people to have an active social scene, it is large enough that there is room to enjoy a bit of solitude.
Taino Beach is the perfect place for those seeking the classic white sands beach experience, with all the traditional pastimes. It also has a small playground that is sure to please families with small children. Some of the best restaurants in the area are found in this area. Lucayan Beach is where tourist with an interest in active water sports go. Conveniently located across from the Port Lucaya hotels, it has a long and inviting sandy shoreline.
Gold Rock Beach is located in the Lucayan National Park and is simply gorgeous. It is about 25 miles from Freeport and is, despite its beautiful white sands on the edge of spectacularly blue waters, quiet and peaceful. Outdoor cooking facilities and picnic tables are available, making an all day visit an enjoyable event.
Mather Town Beach is an excellent place for those who enjoy meeting locals. The beach restaurant and bar Club Carib is located here, and is definitely worth a visit for its fine variety of reasonably priced, quality food. William?s Town Beach is another active beach, with water sports, including jet skis and snorkeling on the eastern side. Horseback riding along the beach is permitted here, and with the beautiful view, it is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, whether by foot or on horseback.
In addition to the many public beaches, there are also several private beaches where tourists can enjoy the sun and sand free from the distraction of the beach vendors that wander the public beaches hawking their wares and free of the crowds that sometimes fill those beaches during peak travel times. Many of the resorts offer excellent package deals that include private beach access and transportation to and from the beach. Some offer beachfront apartment rentals, perfect for families. The resort beach packages often provide for a variety of the classic beach activities, including bon fire lit planned parties featuring live music, limbo dancing, and, of course, fabulous food.
Beaches are an important part of the Bahamas vacation experience. The beaches on Grand Bahama Island tend to be of the classic, very beautiful, white sands sort. Because there are so many small beaches, there are plenty of opportunities to socialize with the locals, as well as with an international blend of tourists or to simply enjoy quiet solitude in the midst of spectacularly beautiful scenery.

How Would YOU Like to Have a Travel Buddy Who Knows How to Pick up Girls!
by: Elvis Preston King
How Would YOU Like to Have a Travel Buddy Who Knows How to Pick up Girls!
Let?s go on a vacation, but this time lets skip, Ft. Lauderdale, Hawaii, Bahamas or Cancun. Let?s go where the girls love Western Men like you and me.
I am Elvis Preston King I have always been the master of how to pick up girls. Back home in the United States and Canada I noticed as I began to grow older the girls would stick up their nose up at me. I claim to be American and Canadian as one of my parents is from Toronto, and the other parent is from Kansas City. Of course I was born in Mississippi and I grew up in Memphis.
Even when I would pull up to the curb in my Rolls Royce Limo and my Ferrari F40 the girls wouldn?t give me the time of day. Enough is enough. Young Western women don?t appreciate the Older Man. That goes for you German, French, Italian, English, Dutch and all of the rest of you.
Will, simply put I got so angry one day when I was trying to pick up a young 18 year old Hollywood, California girl who wouldn?t even give me her phone number let alone talk to me. I said that?s it. I sold my Hillsboro beach Florida penthouse, put my cars in storage and hopped on a plane to the Dominican Republic and I haven?t been home since and that was five years ago. I have many sexual paradises of earth that I like to travel to. I now hold the world record of more girlfriends of any man on earth. I have over 1000 active girlfriends and I am sad to say that I am broken up with over 2000 girls who have left me high but not dry. They caught me fooling around with another girl!
Of course, a wife would be nice, but how can you pick just one wife out of all these beautiful young dream girls. I might accept a harem of wives, but I?d get bored with them too and move on I am sure. I am sorry when you?re Elvis and every young beauty loves you it?s just too big of a temptation to stray. I could never be with just one woman no matter how beautiful she is. I tried it. I had the runner up Miss Universe from one country and I couldn?t be loyal. Good luck Donald Trump! I think you made a big mistake getting married to a young beauty. Same to you Larry Ellison, with your money you don?t need a wife. There are other more suitable arrangements than marriage that can be made! I have girls that I sleep with and girls who take care of my cooking and cleaning. Needless to say if you are the senior playboy king you have to eat right.
I could write a book but I refuse to sell my secrets for five or ten dollars. Never in your life. Elvis can?t be bought cheap. Sorry. However, I am looking for one special travel buddy. All my life I have never had time for buddies. I have spent all my time with beautiful young girls. I am now looking for a sidekick to travel to exotic locations around the world who truly loves girls.
Lets go on a vacation! Come visit me and my girls on the islands of love. The weather will give new warmth to your soul. The walks on the beach with your girls will take away the worries of time and age. Romancing a beautiful girl will relieve your weary heart. A vacation with a new dream girl is an absolute cure for the senior man who feels left out from the pleasures of life. Ah- the islands of the sexual paradises of earth, a breath taking experience, a touch of vigor for the older man and the energy of life you need for the rest of your time here on Earth. You won?t ever want to go home. Such dynamic hideaway retreats that once on one of my islands it will mystically bring romance and joy to your heart. Elvis?s sexual paradises of earth are an extreme love connection for the Western man who truly loves beautiful girls!

Stockholm - The Most Beautiful Capital In The World?
by: Marc A. De Jong
Stockholm is not as big and famous as Paris, London or New York. Still it is regarded as one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. The Swedish city captures the heart of every visitor.
Arriving in Stockholm is already something special. From your plane you will see the water, the immense green areas, the fourteen islands with the colorful buildings that make up Stockholm ….. You are in a holiday mood even before you set your first step on Swedish ground.
Located between the lake M?laren and the Baltic Sea, Stockholm is sometimes called the Venice of the North. And, indeed, there is water everywhere. However, you don?t need a gondola to get around. An extensive bus and subway network takes you everywhere.
Stockholm and Sweden don?t make the news regularly. Sweden is a sparsely populated, but rich country and the nine million Swedes lead a wealthy calm life. They are modest, helpful, tolerant, and speak excellent English ? which makes Stockholm even more pleasant to visit.
The city is remarkably clean. It?s a very safe place too. Swedish crime figures are among the lowest in the world.
Stockholm has a rich history and many points of interests. Take in walk in Gamla Stan, the old town centre with its medieval streets, well-preserved houses and royal palace. Visit the world?s first open-air museum Skansen, which is a joy even if you are not a museum fan. Or make a boat trip in the archipelago: no less than 24,000 islands and rocks create majestic sceneries you will never forget.
But even modern Stockholm has a lot to offer. Nightlife in the Swedish capital is hip, the Scandinavian design goods in shops are hard to resist, and the once controversial business district around Sergels Torg becomes one of the most vibrant parts of town in summer.
Stockholm mixes the latest trends and developments with ancient Nordic culture and tradition, located in an area with an almost magic natural charm. It?s truly one of the world?s most beautiful capitals.

We?ve all been there. Spent a lot of money to go to someplace we?ve never been before. We?ve taken the photos and brought them home expecting family and friends to ooh and aah over the shots we?ve taken. You open the envelope and take out the prints and somehow the landscapes and nature shots that looked so beautiful there look flat, dull, and you don?t remember seeing that couple in the corner of your shot when you snapped the shutter.
First thing that you must know is that to get really great landscape and nature shots you really need an SLR with appropriate film for the job, but these tips will help you even if you are using a point and shoot.
1. Appropriate film. I use 100, 200, and 400 speed maximum. Film brand is a matter of personal taste. I use the 100 and 200 when I know that it?s going to be bright out and I use 400 if I think that I?m going to capture wildlife or if I?m deep in the forest.
2. Natural light. I try to avoid using flash. If I do use flash I only use my fill flash. Whenever you use flash you rob the scene of most of it?s natural charm. Think of it how many times did you take a shot because the light was just to pretty.
3. The right lens. A slight wide angle lens in very valuable for landscapes and a slightly telephoto comes in handy for tight shots of beautiful flowers. I personally have a favorite lens 30mm-70mm that is a staple for me and I use it ninety percent of the time.
Now that the technical stuff is out of the way.
4. Decide what it is EXACTLY that you are trying to capture on film and crop accordingly. Not cropping enough is one of the biggest mistakes amateur photographers make. Great thing about landscapes is that they don?t move. So to learn take a few shots cropping closer each time.
5. Occasionally turn the camera vertically. So many people don?t seem to realize that they can turn their camera on to the vertical. Imagine that you trying to get this tall evergreen perched on a rock above a vista. If the camera is horizontal you?ll crop out the tree, if you turn the camera vertical you?ll get the tree and a lot of the vista too. Try this when you taking photos. Take one shot horizontal and then turn the camera vertical. You?ll be surprised.
6. If you?re taking a photo of a large horizon it will probably look flat on film. You need a sense of scale. So frame your image. Sometimes this can be a family member on one side of the shot, perhaps looking out into the beautiful horizon. A tree, rock, or plant can work in landscape shots just make sure that the framing item is not the focus of your shot.
This will get you started. Nature and landscape photography is a specialized area of the art but with practice you can improve your snap shots to capture some of the great places you?ve seen.

A carribean paradise or a haven for corruption.
White sandy shore lines and beautiful reasonably priced all-inclusive beach resorts. The Dominican Republic can offer you the best vacation of your life.
If you plan to get outside of your hotel room a good tour guide can be worth the money.
For a retirement destination it can be risky because the economy is very unstable and the dollars yo yo has left American products at about 10 times the their prices in the United States. When the dollar started going up from about 19 to 1 to 57 to 1 you could see the merchants in the stores and supermarkets raising there prices every five minutes. But when the dollar dropped from 57 back to 27 to 1 the stores owners didn?t notice and just sat in there offices and forgot to lower the prices. The Dominican people are close to starving to death because of the prices of food in the stores. Which also equates to extremely high prices for a person vacationing in dollars or living in dollars in the Dominican Republic. The tourist can get around the gastly prices by simply staying in an all-inclusive resourt. I had a stomach ache after eating my favorite peanut butter and fried banana sandwhich and went to buy a bottle of Pepto Bismol that cost $1.98 back home and I had to pay $15 dollars. That gives you an idea of how prices are set.
For a bachelor looking for a girlfriend or wife, there is no place better. The Dominican Republic has many available beautiful women. And I don?t say beautiful lightly. The Dominican Republic holds the crown for Miss Universe. Amelia Vega was crowned Miss Universe in 2003. To avoid the wrong girl again the bachelor looking for that special girl needs that special tour guide who is also a professional matchmaker. These beautiful girls are readily available but you have to know how and where to look for them. Again you have to have the right professional guide for the job. See the resource box listed below.
Getting around . You will need the military version of the Humvee. I couldn?t imagine any worse roads in the world. You can go into the most exquisite areas in the Dominican Republic where their wealthy live and you will find mud roads with deep holes in the roads. The wealthy have no respect for their communities. Trash , Dominicans aren?t happy if they don?t have some trash in the street. Even in the most exclusive areas.
The people. The nicest people in the world. They are kind, friendly and beautiful people. They seem to love Americans. They have an American raised and educated President. He was born in the Dominican Republic but raised and educated in New York.
Safety, In my opinion one of the safest countries on earth. Less violence against their own people and tourists than most places you might want to vacation or retire.
Theft issues. They will steal your shirt off your back if your not looking. However, very little armed robbery. Again it?s a very safe country if you use common sense as to where you go.
Bank safety. The government seems to be more honorable than most countries. When A local banker stole 2.5 billion dollars from a local bank the government stood behind the bank and paid back the money, but in pesos. You wouldn?t get your money back if a U.S or Western Country banker stole that much money.
Corruption. The banker stole 2.5 billion and walked away as free as a bird. He is flying around in his helicopters and cruising in one of his private yahts in the French Riviera right now. While the poor people can?t even buy a green banana to eat. Why? That?s the Dominican system. If your going to steal? steal big. You can walk away as free as a bird. Steal a Papaya and you could be gunned down in the street. Both events actually happened in the Dominican Republic. Moral of the story. Steal 2.5 billion dallars and you walk. Steal a papaya and you can be shot dead. You can buy your way out of anything in the Dominican Republic with 2.5 billion dollars. But if you don?t have 100 pesos for the papaya you could be in trouble.
Not to worry, the International Monitary Fund is repacing all of the money, no questions asked. They swept the whole scandel under the rug and have committed to return all the stolen money. You decide if the IMF is promoting corruption. The American Embassy screamed about the scandel. But the IMF is standing behind there decision to replace the stolen money and they are not demanding that the banker be held accountable for the crime.
But lets look at the over all picture. Would I recommend the Dominican Republic for retirement or a vacation . You bet your life I would. I love it. I am a 56 year old bachelor and the young women think I am Elvis Presley come back to life. Admittedly I have a stong resemblence and my name is Elvis and I was born in Mississippi and I later lived in Menphis. However, if you bachelors don?t know how and where to look for the nice girls you can and will go home empty handed without your Miss Universe. I couldn?t possibly pick one wife out of all these beautiful women so I decicided to keep just keep them all for myself. But one day my vacation will come to an end and I will take my Miss Universe bride home to live in Graceland. I?m coming home. The King. Elvis King. Since I can?t write songs any more I decided to write articles. Elvis.

You can watch movies about it, you can hear about it, you can read about it, but until you partake of it, you have no clue how thrilling it is to cruise Glacier Bay.
Glacier Bay Mountain ranges with peaks over 10,000 feet, culminating in 15,320 foot high Mount Fairweather within the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
Nowhere else in Alaska, or in the world, can you see the amazing sight of the tidewater glacier that spreads from a peak 3 miles high down to sea level, that is known as the Margerie Glacier.
Only 200 years ago, the beautiful fjords and cruising areas of “Glacier Bay”, were buried under ice thousands of feet thick. In 1794, Capitan George Vancouver saw the face of an enormous glacier at Glacier Bay’s entrance at Icy Strait.
Naturalist John Muir found in 1879, that the vast ice had withdrawn an impressive 48 miles up the Bay. Amazingly, by 1916, its face had receded 65 miles all the way back to the entrance of Tarr Inlet, where it is today.
So, in only 200 years, these massive glaciers have left us with the beautiful, 65 mile long bay we enjoy now.
The glaciers on the Bay are extremely active and quite frequently, you get to hear or see “calving”. It occurs when huge parts of the glacier breaks off and falls crashing into the Bay.
The calving imitates an explosion, reverberating off the walls of the glacier, and the ice makes a giant splash as it smashes into Glacier Bay.
Along with Mother Nature’s incredible playful artistry of twinkling icebergs and striking views, you will probably be entertained by the plentiful wildlife that call this section of Alaska their homefront.
Sea otters, sleek sea lions, wolves, moose, black bears, Alaskan brown bears, puffins, humpback whales, minke and orca, harbor seals, porpoises, stunning bald eagles, mountain goats, and an amazing 200 breeds of birds are a delight to watch.
Puffins are one of the most vibrant birds. They are small seabirds, pigeon-sized, that live on the open water throughout the largest part of the year. Except for breeding. They swim and ride the surface of the ocean all year long regardless of harsh weather.
From April to mid August they colonize on islands, and seacoasts to breed. They have black and white feathers and a vertical, flat, triangular shaped bill which is brightly colored especially during breeding season.
Whether in awe of the wildlife or breathing in the awesome- ness of the views, the beauty of Alaska stands out in this impressive Park.

Going it Alone: The Waterfall at Mendenhall Glacier, Alaska
by: Theresa Gabriel
I stood at the observation point on the balcony at the Visitor Center overlooking the great Mendenhall Glacier at Juneau, Alaska. Before me was a beautiful scene. The glacier reflected in the large lake. Ooh, ahh. Both to the left and right were mountains. It was a beautiful clear day. I watched the people too, walking around taking photos, and looking at the scenery before us and at the displays in the center, just a few feet away.
A constant roar came from a tall and full waterfall to the right of the glacier. Once, the glacier covered the waterfall. No one was aware of its presence before the glacier receded. I looked closer at the base of the waterfall. There seemed to be a sandbar and people walking on it. With my binoculars I traced the path they must have taken below me. It crossed large sandbars separated by streams and covered with bushes. I found the general location of the beginning of the path. A ranger told me that there was a way to get out there, but it wasn’t official, and that it was a little steep at one point. I decided that the best way to see such a beautiful place was up close, so I decided to try it. My mom and my husband were along with me. I told them I wanted to try the path, and asked if they wouldn’t mind just hanging around waiting for me since they didn’t want to join me.
Into the bushes I went. Immediately, I had to scramble along steep wet slate under the cover of brush. After following some wrong trails and trying again, I found myself in the large bush-covered sandy area heading towards the waterfall. I jumped little streams and plotted my course across to my goal. My last obstacles were climbing a large rock, and then traversing a 20 ft. wide stream dotted with well-placed stepping stones.
I walked right up to the roaring waterfall, and even climbed up along side it a ways on large rocks. Walking away from the waterfall I encountered a large cloud of mist that emanated from its base. I walked out along the sandbar towards the center of the lake and found a large rock to sit on. I had a snack, enjoying being present in this amazing location — surrounded by the lake and flanked by a glacier, a grand waterfall and mountains. I met people too. Some kids were climbing up much higher than I had on the rocks. A gentleman from Germany took my photo, and I took a photo of two girls out on their own adventure.
After an hour of ‘hanging around,’ I turned back. I crossed the creek, climbed the rock, and then looked for hikers emerging from the bushes to find the best path back. A couple times I had to stop and wait for new hikers so I could find the path again. The sun was setting, the floating icebergs were glimmering on the lake, and I enjoyed every moment of delay.
My entire trek took about two hours — worth every moment. My husband and my mom were very understanding and said they enjoyed the visitor center and the scenery (which included me through the telescope!) I’m glad I had the courage to ask for that time. It would have been easy just to do the scheduled tour, and to take no risks. William Shedd once said, ‘A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.’ I find that when I go further, it makes all the difference. It creates treasured memories.
